Baked Honey Cilantro Lime Salmon in Foil

Baked Honey Cilantro Lime Salmon in Foil

Hey there, foodies! Chef Sid here, and today I’m sharing a mouthwatering recipe that’s as easy as it is delicious: Baked Honey Cilantro Lime Salmon in Foil. It’s a perfect balance of sweet, zesty, and savoury flavours that will leave your taste buds dancing. Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

4 salmon fillets
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons fresh cilantro, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
Sliced lime and fresh cilantro sprigs for garnish
Aluminium foil

Instructions:

Preheat Your Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Honey Lime Marinade:

In a small bowl, combine the honey, olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined.

Prepare the Foil Packets:

Tear off four sheets of aluminium foil, each about 12 inches long.
Place a salmon fillet in the centre of each foil sheet.
Spoon the honey lime marinade evenly over each salmon fillet.

Seal the Foil Packets:

Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon, then fold up the ends to create sealed packets. Make sure they are well-sealed to keep all the flavours locked in.

Bake It Up:

Place the foil packets on a baking sheet and transfer them to the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your desired level of doneness.

Serve and Garnish:

Carefully open the foil packets (watch out for steam) and transfer the salmon to serving plates. Spoon any extra sauce from the foil over the salmon. Garnish with fresh cilantro sprigs and slices of lime for an extra burst of flavour and a beautiful presentation.

Enjoy Your Baked Honey Cilantro Lime Salmon:

Serve your delicious creation with your favourite sides – perhaps some steamed veggies, rice, or a fresh salad. It’s a delightful meal that’s as tasty as it is photogenic!

Tips:

If you love a bit of char and caramelisation, you can pop the salmon under the broiler for an additional 1-2 minutes after baking in the foil. Just keep an eye on it to prevent overcooking!
