Ingredients:

For the Meatballs:

1 pound ground beef

1/2 pound ground pork

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

One/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

One/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup chicken or beef broth

1/4 cup heavy cream

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, for garnish

Grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish

Instructions:

Prepare the Meatballs:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork. Mix them well to combine.

Add the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, milk, chopped parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes (if using), and dried oregano to the meat mixture.

Shape the Meatballs:

Using your hands, shape the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. You should get approximately 20-24 meatballs.

Cook the Meatballs:

Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil.

Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs in batches, ensuring they have enough space to cook without overcrowding the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are browned and cooked through. Remove them from the pan and set aside.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Pour in the chicken or beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combine the Meatballs and Sauce:

Return the cooked meatballs to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce.

Gently toss the meatballs in the sauce, coating them evenly.

Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the meatballs through.

Serve:

Transfer the garlic butter meatballs to a serving platter.

Garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.

These Garlic Butter Meatballs are best enjoyed over a bed of cooked spaghetti or with some crusty bread to soak up that delectable sauce. They’re a savoury delight that’s perfect for a cosy family dinner or a special occasion. Enjoy!
