Delight in the magic of guilt-free indulgence with our Air Fryer Cinnamon Sugar Doughnuts!

Doughnuts are one of our favourite desserts—but making them at home can be intense (hello, hot oil!). With your air fryer, you can skip the pot of hot oil and make a healthier version.

Ingredients:

For Donuts:

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/3 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)

1 large egg

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the Chocolate Glaze:

3/4 c. powdered sugar

1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder

3 tbsp. milk

For the Vanilla Glaze:

1 c. powdered sugar

2 oz. milk

1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Instructions:

Preheat the Air Fryer:

Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes.

Prepare the Doughnut Batter:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.

Mix the Wet Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, combine the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fill the Doughnut Wells:

Lightly grease the wells of a doughnut pan (or use a silicone mold) to prevent sticking.

Spoon or pipe the doughnut batter into the wells, filling them about two-thirds full.

Air Frying:

Place the doughnut pan in the preheated air fryer basket. You may need to cook in batches if your air fryer is small.

Air fry the doughnuts at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, or until they’re lightly golden and spring back when touched.

Coat in Cinnamon Sugar:

While the doughnuts are still warm, dip each one in melted butter, then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat evenly.

Serve and Enjoy:

Indulge in these delectable cinnamon sugar doughnuts while they’re fresh and warm.

Tips:

Feel free to experiment with different coatings, such as powdered sugar, chocolate glaze, or even a maple syrup drizzle.

Don’t have a doughnut pan? Use a mini muffin tin to create adorable doughnut holes!

These doughnuts are best enjoyed fresh, but you can reheat them for a few seconds in the air fryer to recapture that warm, crispy texture.
